How Does a Chocolate Fountain Work?
A chocolate fountain is a stainless steel piece of catering equipment
that melts chocolate in a heated basin. A motor driven auger carries the
chocolate up the cylinder to the top of the fountain where a warm curtain
of chocolate cascades down and over the fountain tiers, giving the illusion
of a chocolate waterfall.
What type of chocolate do you use?
We use a premium Belgian Coverture chocolate with extra cocoa butter which gives the chocolate a wonderful taste.
Do I have to set up, take down, and clean the Chocolate Fountain?
Orlando Chocolate Fountains will do all the work for you. Included with all our Fountain rentals is an
on-site fountain attendant who will set up the fountain, and show your guest how to use the fountain to
ensure everything runs smoothly for your special event.
How long can I have the Chocolate Fountain at my event?
Included with all our Chocolate Fountain rentals is three (3) hours of Chocolate Fountain enjoyment.
We understand that some events will last longer. We can always add additional time on an as-needed basis.
What dipping items can be used with the Fountain?
The most popular dipping items are: Strawberries, Bananas, Marshmallows, Pineapple...
most any type fruit. You donít want items (like those that are crumbly) that will break up in the Chocolate
Fountain. (See our Dipping Suggestions page for a better list of ideas!)
Who provides the dipping items?
Many facilities wonít allow outside catering or food services. In the event your
facility allows it we can provide the dipping items for a fee of $2.00 per person.
Can the Chocolate Fountain be used outdoors?
Outside temperatures play an important part on the flowing consistency of the chocolate, as well as the temperature
of the Chocolate Fountains itself. A slight breeze could blow the chocolate onto everything surrounding the
Chocolate Fountain. It would also attract flying creatures to the sweet Chocolate aroma. The only exception
to this rule is if the Chocolate Fountain is completely enclosed in an area where no wind would reach it. If
you have an outdoor event in mind, give us a call to discuss the possibilities.
Are reservations and deposits required?
We do require a reservation, a signed contract and a deposit of $200.00 at the time of booking. Reservations
are limited and will be on a first come first served basis. The balance of your payment will be due at
least 30 days prior to the scheduled date of your event to ensure the availability of your Chocolate
